Mobile Car Inspection Brisbane
Buying a used car does not always mean you can take it to your mechanic first. Our mobile car inspection Brisbane service brings the inspection to the vehicle instead. Whether it is parked at a seller’s home, workplace, dealership or auction yard, our inspector comes to the car and checks it where it sits. You do not need to attend, and the vehicle does not need to be transported anywhere.

Where we come to
On-site car inspection, wherever the car is sitting
A driveway, workplace car park, dealer forecourt or auction lot can all work. Our mobile car inspection North Brisbane and mobile car inspection South Brisbane services cover a wide area, extending through Logan and Ipswich. We only need reasonable daylight, enough space to inspect the vehicle properly and permission from the seller and we can arrange that last part for you.
At the seller’s home
This is where many inspections take place. We contact the seller, agree on a suitable time and come to their address. There is no need for them to drive the vehicle somewhere else, which makes arranging an on-site car inspection much simpler.
At a dealership
We regularly inspect vehicles sitting in Brisbane dealer yards. Our mobile car inspector Brisbane service gives you an independent assessment rather than relying only on information supplied by the dealership. If a dealer will not allow an independent inspection, that is useful information to have before buying.
At your work, or theirs
A workplace car park can be perfectly suitable when the seller is only available during business hours. We do not need a workshop. For a car inspection at your location, we mainly need enough room to open the vehicle, walk around it and carry out the inspection safely.
At an auction house
The inspection can be arranged during the auction’s viewing period, giving you information before you place a bid. Auction access is usually limited, so book early and provide the viewing times when you arrange the inspection.
Mobile vs workshop
Coming to the car is the better inspection, not just the easier one
Convenience is certainly part of it, but a convenient car inspection also lets us assess the vehicle in the condition in which we find it. There are practical advantages to inspecting a used car at its actual location.
We see the car cold
A vehicle driven across Brisbane to a workshop may already be warm when someone starts checking it. That can hide hard starting, cold-start smoke or noises that disappear once the engine has been running. With a mobile inspection, we can see how the car behaves after sitting.
The seller says yes more often
Getting a private seller to spend several hours driving to a workshop can make an inspection difficult to arrange. Asking them to simply make the car available at home is much easier. That is one reason our mobile pre purchase inspection Brisbane service works well for private sales.
It happens sooner
You are not waiting for a workshop appointment that suits both you and the seller. We arrange access directly and travel to the vehicle, which can be the difference between inspecting the car you want and finding out someone else has already bought it.
Nobody pays for towing
Some vehicles should not be driven to a workshop because they are unregistered, unsafe or have a mechanical problem. With a mobile vehicle inspection, the vehicle stays where it is. You avoid arranging transport simply to have the car checked before buying.

The kit
A fully equipped mobile inspection unit, not a clipboard
A mobile inspection should not mean a quick look around the car with a clipboard. Our equipment allows us to check important mechanical, electrical and body areas at the vehicle’s location. The result is a mobile inspection with a digital report that gives you photographs and written findings to review afterwards.
Diagnostic scan tool
Reads stored and live fault codes from supported engine, transmission and safety systems. This can reveal faults that may not show up during a short drive or may have been cleared before you viewed the vehicle.
Paint depth gauge
We take panel-by-panel readings to identify areas where filler or previous respray work may be present. A car can look excellent after a wash, but paint readings can reveal repairs that are not obvious from a normal visual inspection.
Battery and charging tester
Checks battery performance and charging behaviour rather than relying only on a basic voltage reading. This can help identify a battery or charging issue before it becomes your problem after purchase.
Inspection camera and lighting
Our own lighting and inspection equipment help us look into areas that are difficult to see during a normal driveway check. Where appropriate, a borescope can also help inspect confined areas that cannot be viewed directly.
And what leaves with us
- A digital report prepared after the inspection
- Photographs showing the faults we identify
- Indicative repair costs against relevant findings
- The completed report sent to your inbox the same day
- A call from the inspector who actually inspected the vehicle
What a driveway cannot do: heavy rain, poor lighting or an unsuitable surface can restrict certain parts of an inspection, particularly the underbody. If anything cannot be checked properly, we will tell you what was restricted rather than pretending it was inspected.
FAQs
Questions about coming to you
If you are unsure whether we can inspect the vehicle where it is, these are some of the questions we hear most often.
How does a mobile car inspection work?
You book the inspection and provide the vehicle details, suburb and seller information. We contact the seller, arrange access and confirm the appointment with you. A qualified inspector then travels to the vehicle and carries out the inspection on site. The report is prepared afterwards and sent digitally, usually the same day, followed by a call from the inspector.
Do you do mobile car inspections near me?
We service the local area of greater Brisbane, Logan and Ipswich, including Redcliffe, North Lakes, Mount Gravatt, Springwood, Loganholme and Ipswich and Springfield. If you are looking for a mobile car inspection near me, and the car is not within these areas, call us and provide the location. We can usually inform you if we can get in touch.
How much does a mobile car inspection cost in Brisbane?
Our packages range from $190 for Essential to $395 for Premium, including GST. Travel within our normal coverage area is included, so there is no separate call-out fee for coming to the vehicle. The package you need depends on the age, type and condition of the car.
Can you inspect a car at the seller’s house?
Yes. Can you inspect a car at the seller’s house is one of the most common questions we receive, and most of our private inspections happen exactly this way. We contact the seller, arrange access and inspect the vehicle at their home. You do not have to attend unless you want to.
Do you offer mobile car inspection for private sale?
Yes. A mobile car inspection for private sale is particularly useful when the seller does not want to drive the vehicle anywhere. We deal with the seller directly, arrange the inspection and provide you with an independent report before you decide whether to buy.
Can you inspect a car at a dealer yard?
Yes. We regularly carry out inspections at dealerships throughout Brisbane. A dealer’s own inspection or safety certificate does not replace an independent assessment. Our mobile car inspection for dealer yard service gives you a separate view of the vehicle before you commit to the purchase.
Can I get a same day mobile inspection in Brisbane?
If you book ahead (usually about 10am on a weekday) we can arrange a mobile car inspection in Brisbane the same day, if the car is in the location and the seller is able to provide access. A great majority of bookings are finalised within 24-48 hours. When making a booking, if the deadline is very important, tell us so and we will inform you what we can do.
Do you do weekend mobile car inspections?
Saturday inspections are available on an arrangement basis, but are typically busy first days for Saturdays due to the fact that weekends are normally the times that private sellers are free. If the only days the seller will allow access is on Saturday, please contact us early to confirm availability.
Do you offer after hours car inspections in Brisbane?
Early appointments are usually easier to arrange than late ones. A proper inspection needs enough natural light to assess the body, paint and underbody properly. We would rather tell you that the available light is not suitable than rush an inspection after dark and give you a report that is not as useful.
How do I book a mobile inspection online?
You can use our mobile inspection online booking option at any time. Provide the vehicle details, its location and the seller’s contact information, and we will take care of arranging access. If you prefer to speak with us first, contact us and we can discuss the vehicle and inspection options.
Seeing a car this week?
Do not wait until after you have paid a deposit. When the car is still in your possession and you know the details of the seller, arrange a mobile car inspection in Brisbane before your car is sold. Your digital inspection report is usually produced the same day and the majority of inspections take place within 48 hours.
