What your car inspection price covers
The number on the card is the number you pay. These four things are in every package and are never charged separately.
Travel to the car
Whichever package you select, the amount shown is what you pay for the inspection. Our no hidden fees car inspection approach means the essential service is included rather than split into additional charges.
The full written report
We travel throughout greater Brisbane, Logan and Ipswich. There is no call-out fee, fuel levy or distance-based surcharge within our covered area. Whether the vehicle is nearby or further across the service area, the agreed price stays the same.
The call afterwards
After the inspection, the inspector who assessed the vehicle calls you to discuss the findings. We believe this conversation is an important part of understanding the report and deciding what to do next.
Nothing if we cannot get in
If we arrive and the seller has already sold the vehicle, refuses access or does not show up, you are not charged. We take responsibility for that situation rather than passing the wasted trip on to you.
The only things that cost extra
- Hybrid or EV system check — $60
- 4×4, ute or van inspection — $49
- Paint depth assessment — $50
- Video walkthrough — $50
Told before, not after. If your vehicle requires one of these extras, we will let you know when you book. You will therefore know the total agreed price before the inspection takes place.

Choosing
Which package suits the car you are considering?

- Any dealer car, where the PPSR matters
- Any car whose history you cannot fully verify
Premium — $395

- Any vehicle you believe may have been repaired
FAQs
Questions About Car Inspection Costs
Still unsure about the car inspection cost Brisbane buyers should budget for? If your question is not covered below, contact us before booking and we can help you choose the appropriate inspection.
How much does a pre purchase car inspection cost?
If you are asking how much does a pre-purchase car inspection cost, our prices range from $190 to $395 including GST. Essential costs $190, Standard is $250 and Premium is $395. Across Brisbane, inspection prices can generally range from around $150 to $450 depending on the provider, inspection depth and whether travel charges are included.
What is included in the car inspection price?
What is included in the car inspection price answer is straightforward: travel within our service area, the inspection itself, a detailed written photo report with indicative repair costs and a follow-up call from the inspector. There is no separate report fee, call-out fee or fuel levy.
Is there an extra cost for a mobile inspection?
There is no extra cost for mobile car inspection with us. We come directly to where the vehicle is located, whether that is a home, workplace, dealership or another accessible location within our service area. Mobile inspection is simply how we operate rather than a premium service.
Is a car inspection worth the cost?
If you are wondering if a car inspection is worth the cost, in most used-car purchases it can be. Buyers can often use inspection findings when negotiating the purchase price, while some inspections identify faults serious enough to reconsider the vehicle altogether. For cars around $4,000 or less, however, the cost-benefit calculation can be different, and we are happy to discuss that before you book.
Does the price change for a private sale?
Our car inspection price for private sale vehicles does not change. Private purchases are covered at the same package rates as other inspections. We can contact the seller and arrange access to the vehicle as part of the service, without adding a separate private-sale fee.
Does the price change for a car at a dealership?
No. The car inspection price for dealer car inspections is the same as our standard package pricing. We generally recommend the Standard package as a minimum for dealer vehicles because it includes the PPSR certificate and additional checks that can be useful when a vehicle has an unclear or interstate history.
When do I pay, and what if the inspection cannot go ahead?
Payment is made when you book. If we arrive but cannot inspect the vehicle because it has already been sold, the seller does not appear or access is refused, you are not charged and the payment is refunded in full. The risk of that failed appointment remains with us.
Seeing a car this week?
Before paying a deposit, make sure you know what you are buying. Most inspections can be arranged within 48 hours, with the completed report provided on the same day.
